Raised Floor Solutions (RFS) is pleased to announce the successful opening of the new multi-storey car park at Stockport Exchange. RFS’s Metal Decking and Metcon department secured the car deck slab construction through Galliford Try, as part of the fourth phase of the Stockport Exchange development which is being delivered by Muse Developments on behalf of Stockport Council.
The £80 million Stockport Exchange development is transforming the town centre, providing new office space, retail outlets, and restaurants. The development is expected to create over 1,000 new jobs and attract over 1 million visitors to the town centre each year. Stockport Exchange is part of a £1 billion investment programme currently underway across the town. £4.2m of funding was secured from the government’s ‘Getting Building Fund’ to unlock the site and commence delivery of this latest phase of the scheme.
RFS’s team worked closely with Galliford Try after successes on previous schemes, applying their expertise to the installation of 8,000m² of Kingspan’s Magnelis coated Multideck 80 with Engineered ends and in-situ brushed concrete car decks, adding to their proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and to budget.
