Raised Floor Solutions has secured the contract to provide steel floor decking and concrete floors for the construction of three luxury apartment blocks within a £10M redevelopment of Windermere Marina Village.
The popular staycation spot, which is located in Bowness within the Lake District National Park, was affected by flooding in December 2009 and 2015, having been refurbished and reopened during the period in between.
In 2016, the owners decided to invest in replacement buildings in the flood prone area of the site, which would raise the habitable floor levels well above the flood plain.
Raised Floor Solutions has been contracted to deliver composite flooring for the construction of three apartment blocks within the current phase of works.
The apartment blocks consist of two, three and four storeys with car parking on the ground floor.
The works will be delivered by Raised Floor Solutions’ Metaldeck steel decking and Metcon concrete flooring teams. Kingspan Multideck MD50 has been specified for the contract and will be supplied and installed over a total area of 2987m2.
Metcon will then design and install 150mm concrete floor slabs over the same area reinforced with A193 mesh.Posted by Jackie Posted on 09 May
