Raised Floor Solutions has secured and commenced the steel decking and concrete flooring contract for a multi-storey-car-park in Watford.
The new parking facility will provide up to 216 spaces, including a surface level car park of 156 spaces, and is part of a major new commercial office development at Croxley Park to the West of Watford city centre, just 4 miles from junction 18 of the M25.
Four new four and five-storey buildings are under construction providing up to 40,000m2 of office accommodation. The new multi-storey-car-park will be located to the rear of the office buildings and will be up to 12 metres high.
Raised Floor Solutions moved on site in June 2020 for an eight-week programme of works, which included the supply and installation of 4,800m2 of Kingspan Multideck MD80 XP; steel decking with a zinc aluminium magnesium alloy (Magnelis®) that provides three times better corrosion protection than standard galvanised steel.
Raised Floor Solutions has also designed and will install a 160mm concrete slab with traditional mesh reinforcement and an easy float finish to complete the composite floor construction.
The contract is being fulfilled by Raised Floor Solutions’ specialist car park division, Metpark.
