How the original building looked when it was serviced apartments

The building formerly housed serviced apartments. At the end of last year, the owners achieved planning for the building to be modified and repurposed as a residential apartment scheme. The scheme was then sold on the open market to an affordable housing provider.

As part of the redevelopment, the building is gaining two additional storeys and a new build four storey rear extension. When complete, it will provide around 90 new studio, one and two bedroom apartments.

About Metal Roof

Metal Roof is the structural steel roof decking contractor within Raised Floor Solutions. It was established to fulfil the demand for a time efficient and versatile method of roof construction.

The use of structural steel roof deck in construction allows the number of roof components to be reduced. A liner sheet is used to span the structural frame of the building, with spans of up to 7400mm can be achieved. A range of metal roof profiles are available for supply and installation.

The metal roof is combined with weatherproof membranes and insulation to provide a superior form of roof construction suited to all kinds of building projects, including residential, industrial, commercial, healthcare and leisure.

Metal roof decking can be used for all kinds of built up roof systems, including single-ply and green roofs. The metal roof can also be manufactured with extra anti-corrosion protective coatings making it ideal for aggressive environments, such as swimming pools. Perforated acoustic metal roof decking can be specified in buildings requiring additional sound absorption.
