Raised Floor Solutions is reporting a positive start to 2013 after securing an increasing volume of composite floor packages in addition to achieving ‘approved supplier’ status in the UK for Kingspan’s new Hoesch Additive Floor range.
Hoesch Additive Floor (also known as Kingspan Multideck 206C) is a long spanning steel floor deck primarily designed for the construction of multi-storey car parks. The deck is extremely concrete efficient and can be powder coated. Over 3.5 million square metres of the deck has been installed on airport, automotive manufacturer, retail and leisure projects in Europe.
The raised access floors, steel decking and concrete floors specialist is now able to deliver comprehensive car park packages and has won the design and build contract for a new police station car park in Bridgwater, Somerset, from Miller Construction.
The new multi-storey parking facility will accommodate up to 253 vehicles. The RFS package includes the full design of the car park including the structural steel frame, installation of the composite car park deck, the application of elastomeric surface coatings, access stairs and electrical lighting.
Other major contract wins for 2013 include the design, supply and installation of 7000m2 of Kingspan MD50 steel decking for a new £27million office complex for Galliford Try near St James’ Park in Central London. RFS will also complete the final element of a 3000m2 deck, concrete and access floor package for Volker Fitzpatrick on Bentinck Street, in London.
Says RFS Managing Director, Graham Hewitt, “2012 has been another challenging year for the construction industry and like many others, we’ve had to evolve our services, play to our strengths and work hard to identify and secure new contracts.
“The introduction of Kingspan’s Hoesch Additive Floor into the UK will provide designers and specifiers with a unique long spanning deck solution which has been proven in the European market for many years. I am confident that we will now see widespread specification by UK Engineers and we are happy to assist anyone interested in this new product with information or to discuss its specification on any forthcoming car park projects,’ Graham adds.Posted by admin Posted on 26 Sep
