Raised Floor Solutions’ Access Floors division is delivering a contract to supply and install Kingspan Access Flooring for the renovation of the Leeds office of British and Irish trade union firm, Unite the Union.
A total of 1,230m2 of Kingspan Access Flooring is being supplied and installed for the renovations, this includes both medium and heavy grade PSA rated flooring products; Kingspan DRF600 and Kingspan RMG600.
The Access Floors team has designed a flooring specification that will accommodate the different requirements of each area under renovation, and adapts to suit a range of finishes and floor heights. Tailored solutions include Simploc fixing and additional pedestal supports.
Says Raised Floor Solutions Managing Director, Graham Hewitt, “Due to its versatility, access flooring is an ideal solution for office renovations, particularly in older buildings where more traditional style renovation works can be lengthy, costly and messy.
“Access flooring can be designed to sit on top of existing flooring, helping to repurpose an older building for modern day use by accommodating computer network, telephone or electricity cables without the need to permeate the fabric of the building. Equally, it can be used to level off uneven floors making a space more functional, and accessible to all.
“There is a huge range of finishes available as well, from carpet and vinyl to high end products such as glass, granite, marble and natural wood,” he adds.
Access Floors is a Tier 1 supplier and installer of Kingspan Access Flooring products including Attiro.
Attiro is a real wood flooring solution from Kingspan. Each timber panel has a magnetic base so as to sit securely on top of steel encapsulated access floor panels. When required, the panels can be lifted off to allow swift access underfloor and then easily replaced, without any of the disruption caused by uplifting traditional tongue and groove flooring products.
