Liverpool Multi-Storey Car Park Contract

Raised Floor Solutions has been awarded the contract to supply and install steel floor deck in a new 333 space multi-storey car park on Victoria Street in Liverpool.

Funded by Liverpool City Council, the new £6.5m five-storey facility replaces an existing surface car park, which offered half the number of spaces and had no dedicated bays for disabled drivers, motorcyclists or cyclists.

The contemporary style building, which features a shimmering metal mesh facade inspired by a fishing net, will also offer dedicated retail space for restaurants and bars.

Raised Floor Solutions’ Steel Decking division, Metaldeck, will fulfil the contract supplying and installing 8,800m2 of powder coated Kingspan Multideck 80 providing additional corrosion protection to the exposed decking soffit.

The car park is due for completion at the end of 2017.

About Victoria Street Car Park

Victoria Street Car Park was formerly a 121 space surface car park.  This is being transformed to provide 333 car spaces, including 15 motorcycle spaces and 28 cycle spaces. 
 
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year, the high quality new facility will also provide three electric vehicle charging bays.
 
The scheme is part of a £100 million investment in improving the city’s infrastructure and facilities with a view to encouraging more visitors and improving the experience for those that live, work and shop there.
